online entry on ppc forms - is any possibility of losing money? is it job or business?

PPC means per click payment. the person making entry is required to pay to the space seller per click whereas commission is on the actual sale. if sales are less and clicks more, there is possibility of loss. please clarify the doubt.

My take on the PPC is that it is an affiliate program. Not a job or a business. You are working at advertising for a variety of different companies, never getting any residuals from previous sales or future sales because the customer is not necessarily going to come back to your site to purchase. Each is a one time sale and takes massive, massive advertising.
